Virga (2021)

Program Note

       This piece was inspired by a passage in the book The Emerald Mile by Kevin Fedarko, which describes virga as “the delicate desert rain that is released from clouds above the canyon but evaporates and vanishes long before it ever has a ghost of a chance of reaching solid ground.”
