Ghost Crab for solo flute
A ghost crab peeks its head out of its burrow at nightfall. After a brief survey of its surroundings, it begins to skitter all over the beach, searching for food. It rushes into the ocean, letting itself get hit by a few waves. Finally, it finds something to eat, and pounces!

Seagull for solo piccolo
A seagull glides through the air, dives towards the ocean, hops along the beach, and emits the most annoying squawk known to humanity.

Salmon for solo flute
A baby salmon wiggles out of its egg and peeks around, gradually gaining more confidence as it begins to explore its surroundings. It swims from the river to the sea, and explores the shallows and depths of the ocean. Eventually, it swims back up toward the surface, glinting in the sun.
